just purchased sniffi for Sprint HTC Touch Pro2
installed with no problems, seems to recognize built in GPS but I'm not getting any hot spots, there doesn't seem to be a way to initiate a scan, so I assume it works automatically.
I see after some digging a requirement is a wi-fi card - will sniffi work with built in wifi
how do you start a scan for hotspots |

Hello aidolon!
There is no option to start/stop WiFi scanning. Sniffi is going to scan at startup.
Sniffi works with every kind of WiFi module. It doesn't matter if it's device with WiFi onboard, or if it's the "physical" WiFi card.
Your issue may be caused by one of the following things:
- Your PocketPC is connected to PC via Activesync (on some devices ActiveSync disables the WiFi card)
- The scanning rate is too fast (default is scanning every 5 secs). You can increase this value in Sniffi settings
- One or more of the hotspot filters may be enabled. Go to the Sniffi hotpots list, and make sure that all of the icons to the right of the "WiFi Spots" text are grey. If not, you can change it using the context menu.
Regards!
